Happiness appears to be more complex than wisdom. Yet wisdom is the principal thing.
In that wisdom is a fortress. But happiness needs a fortress. Happiness has been made available to everyone, but knowledge is what grabs it.
Does God give happiness directly? I don’t know. But what I know is that the gap between a man and happiness is bridged by knowledge. Not complex knowledge. But knowing that it is a choice that can be made with something as simple as gratitude.
Does God give wisdom directly? Yes
So if wisdom is the principal thing, why does happiness have to be defended? Why doesn’t it seem to be given directly?
Is the fortress more important than what it protects?
I came to a conclusion. Wisdom is like light in the dark. Whereas one ca be happy in the dark. Navigation is superior to mood as far as evolution is concerned. So wisdom is principal. But both wisdom and happiness are meaningless without each other.
