Is dating in Lagos actually broken, or are people's expectations the problem?

One thing the ISWIS podcast has consistently highlighted is how exhausting dating in Lagos can feel. From situationships that never become relationships to ghosting, mixed signals, and people keeping multiple options open, many singles say dating feels more like a competitive market than a search for a genuine connection.

But here's the question.

Has Lagos changed people, or does Lagos simply expose who they already are?

Is everyone afraid of commitment because there are too many options, or are our standards and expectations becoming unrealistic?

At what point do we stop blaming "Lagos dating" and start admitting that people everywhere are complicated?

What's your experience?
