babe, are you ragebaiting me? sigh. alté is a nigerian-origin subculture/movement rooted in african music, fashion and creative culture. sure, you can call it “alt,” idc. but hobie, as i’ve told you before, is punk rock — an alternative subculture/movement that originated in the west, particularly the uk. not everyone who has piercings and dresses “crazy” is alté abeg 😭
