A prime example is the British Empire. In many places it occupied it:

-raised the standard of living
-developed infrastructure
-promoted education

It also single-handedly ended slavery for much of the world…🧵

Colonialism is the best thing that happened to Africa. Their only crime is that they left too early. Should have been at least 200 years, not just 70. Then we would have *maybe* been ready to run things.
